The Portland Dragons managed to get by the Seattle Arrows, 5-4, at Power Ballpark. Portland pitcher Yahya Kanoro set himself apart with his performance. The win went to Ryan Mena in relief, making him now 6-4. Bobby Jess took the loss for Seattle. Portland currently is in second place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division at 81-74.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Felix Sanchez came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Seattle pitcher Bobby Jess, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Portland on top, 5-4.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Sanchez, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
