Simon Excels in 9-2 Kansas City Win
|
The 4-hit performance of Eddie Simon, who is tied for 10th in the WC in RBI with 103, helped the Kansas City Athletics beat the Minneapolis Vikings, 9-2. At 90-66, the Athletics are currently first in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.
Henry Sosa had a big run-scoring triple for the Athletics in the bottom of the third inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Benjamin Jones, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Vikings organization, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 8th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Athletics ahead, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Simon.
