Destroyers Pull Out Late Win, 6-5
San Diego beat Seattle at Seaward Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Carlos Reta. He went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. San Diego reliever Julio Olivo snagged the win, upping his record to 6-5. Neal Libutti shouldered the loss. San Diego has 3 straight wins, Seattle 5 straight losses.

Jordan Tarango was the walk-off hero for San Diego. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Destroyers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Reta told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
