The San Francisco Friars met little resistance from the Las Vegas Aces, beating them, 11-2, at Western Coliseum. Sean Oehlert led the way. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for San Francisco. Chris Mayea, credited with the save, is now 15 for 17 in save opportunities. The Friars improved to 76-81.

With San Francisco leading 7-2 in the top of the ninth, Oehlert came up to bat against Las Vegas pitcher Roberto Banda. Oehlert hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Friars on top, 11-2.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian. "They smoked us."
