Aces Stick Friars with 3-1 Loss
|
The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Staples Field, courtesy of Carl Rodda. The right-hander helped his team stop the San Francisco Friars, 3-1. In 8 innings, Rodda surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Jason Mouland was called on to finish, recording his 20th save.
The Aces got a big at-bat from shortstop Ian Paszek, who in the top of the third hit a run-scoring double. It was his 39th double of the season and put the Aces on top, 2-0.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Rodda told the Las Vegas Herald.
The Aces improved to 84-73.
