Fonville Delivers Walk-Off Win for Gaedels
The St. Louis Gaedels and the New York Titans played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Gaedels won it, 5-3, in 10 innings. In the game, St. Louis catcher Hunter Begley went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. The second-place Titans dropped to 83-73.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for St. Louis. That's when Chris Fonville hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher David Panther to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Begley. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
