San Francisco Friars starter Bill Zamora was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Las Vegas Aces, 4-2. Zamora, now 12-11, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. San Francisco is now 77-81.
San Francisco used a clutch at-bat from Manobu Miyoshi to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Friars ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Miyoshi told the San Francisco Citizen.
