Cristovão Alvelo knocked in 3 runs to help Cincinnati beat Miami, 6-4. Alvelo produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Ken Wellon earned the win to go to 2-5. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in 8.2 innings of work. The Twins raised their record to 79-78.
