Minneapolis beat Tucson at Minneapolis Grounds, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Leonilde Tigre. He went 1-2 with 2 walks. Zee-loo Kim closed it out for his 22nd save. The win elevated the Vikings to 85-73.
Carlos Dorame hit a 2-run triple off Edwin Castaneda in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Vikings in front, 7-6. Dorame had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Dorame, "but we got it done."
