Denver first baseman Chris Eighmy picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Vancouver Wolves, 5-4. Earning his 40th save for Denver was Adam Mimnaugh. Denver, at 89-68, occupies first place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.
Denver took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Bill Cleary hit a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Glaciers.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
