Cincinnati Beats Baltimore in Extra Innings
|
Starting pitcher Dainer Madera had a solid game. He was a big reason the Cincinnati Twins throttled the Baltimore Kings, 4-1. Cincinnati reliever Steve Grantham was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Lou Hoogendijk took the loss. Today's win puts Cincinnati at 66-92, while Baltimore falls to 73-86.
Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Jose Tineo's at-bat with no one out in the top of the 11th was crucial. The Cincinnati right fielder got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"There's no quit in this team," said Twins manager Ryan Stoops.
