Glaciers Win, Eighmy goes 3-for-4
|
The first-place Denver Glaciers took on the Vancouver Wolves in front of a spirited crowd.
Chris Eighmy knocked in 3 runs to help Denver beat Vancouver, 9-2. The first baseman collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Denver pitcher Earl Starr got the win, upping his record to 17-9. Jose Madrid got the loss.
With Denver leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Eighmy hit a curveball from Jose Madrid for a 2-run double. It was his 37th double of the season and put the Glaciers ahead, 4-1.
Vancouver manager Zach Meinen said his team was "out of sync."
With this game in the books, Denver is 91-68, Vancouver 69-90.
