Tucson turned a good effort from starter Miguel Moquete into a win over the Maine Lobster at Aetna Stadium. The Toros won the game, 4-2. The win went to Cody Sosnowski in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Alex Esquibel took the loss. Alex Mayorga, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

Had Jesus Munoz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Munoz hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Toros.

Munoz called the win a testament to his team's "grit."

The 4th-place Toros hiked their record to 84-77.
