Vikings Deal Stars 6-2 Defeat
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Sam Cone, the Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Los Angeles Stars, 6-2. Cone went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Vikings. Benjamin Jones earned the win to go to 7-1. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 1 strikeout in 7.1 innings of work. The win elevated the Vikings to 86-76.

Had Cone not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Cone hit a run-scoring single. The Vikings took the lead, 3-2, and never looked back.
