At Estadio Guillermón Moncada, the Havana Metropolitanos and Santiago Avispas were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Santiago Avispas went home winners at Estadio Guillermón Moncada, thanks in large part to starter Julius Miller. Miller stifled the Havana Metropolitanos, enabling Santiago to grab the 5-1 win. The winning pitcher was Miller, now 5-4. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8.

Santiago took a 4-1 lead on Homer Hanes's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Hanes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Havana pitcher Luis Casillas visibly frustrated.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Miller. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."

The Avispas go to 23-29, putting them 4th in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division.
