The Minneapolis Vikings clobbered the Denver Glaciers, 12-2, at Mountain Dew Park. Minneapolis designated hitter Gentaro Arakawa led the onslaught. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Vikings now own a record of 36-18.

Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Carlos Dorame to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Vikings ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Denver manager Todd Bleess. "They smoked us."
