Dragons Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Portland Dragons overcame a good performance by Los Angeles center fielder Ramão Bizarro to knock off Los Angeles, 6-4, at Stars Ballpark. Bizarro was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Kazuhisa Okabe in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Cody Goings took the loss. With the victory, the Dragons record stands at 34-21.
Portland won the game in part because of Felix Sanchez. The center fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dragons ahead, 5-4. For the game, Sanchez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers: "They just got the better of us."
