Havana and Montreal duked it out and the Metropolitanos came out victorious.

The Havana Metropolitanos defeated the Montreal Harfangs, 7-5, in Eastern Conference action at Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana pitcher Joyee Cameron had a standout performance. Ricardo Alas got the save, the 12th for him this season.

Havana took a 7-3 lead on Loo Xiu's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Xiu hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Bill Mauck visibly frustrated.

"Joyee was locating, throwing all of his pitches," said Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer. "He did a heck of a job."

The third-place Metropolitanos improved to 28-28.
