Kodiaks Take Home 4-0 Win Over Denver
Mike Blain, who is tied for 9th in the WC with a 3.17 ERA, was terrific for the Alaska Kodiaks in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Denver Glaciers. His performance earned Blain rave reviews. Alaska raised its record to 33-23 with the win.

Alderaan Pike had a big bases-clearing double for the Kodiaks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Alaska leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Raul Garibaldi, who finished 4th in the WC in strikeouts with 211 in 2079, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kodiaks ahead, 4-0.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Alaska skipper Alex King.
