7-4 Win Takes Toros to 30-27
|
Tucson parlayed a decent outing from starter Feng Shuai into a solid win over the Minneapolis Vikings. The final score was 7-4. Raul Alcaraz claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 3-0. Tucson, now 30-27, holds down third place in the Western Conference Najera Division.
Tucson used a timely hit from Mike McKasson to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toros ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I'm proud to wear a Tucson jersey," McKasson told the Tucson Today. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
