Rangers Tally 9-2 Win
|
The first-place Buffalo Rangers were less than gracious hosts to the Maine Lobster.
Buffalo Rangers starter Heriberto Flores kept the Maine Lobster hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-2 win. Josh Trejo earned the save for Buffalo, his 3rd of the year.
Buffalo second baseman Yosvani Melian contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 4-1.
"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Matthew McExpos.
Maine has now lost 5 straight.
