Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Alaska Kodiaks and San Diego Destroyers.

The Alaska Kodiaks defeated the San Diego Destroyers by the score of 7-2. Tillmam Velado starred for Alaska, going 2-for-4 with 1 home run. The loss makes San Diego 31-28.

The Destroyers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Kodiaks going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old catcher O-jun Joh came to the plate. Joh hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 splitter from San Diego hurler Shigemitsu Nakayama. It was Joh's 9th double of the year.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Velado.
