6-4 Triumph Takes Minneapolis to 38-21
|
The Minneapolis Vikings picked up a win at Stars Ballpark, taking down the Los Angeles Stars, 6-4. Starting pitcher Benjamin Jones was a big reason why. Zee-loo Kim recorded the save for Minneapolis, his 15th of the season. The Vikings own a robust 38-21 mark.
Gentaro Arakawa, who is tied for 7th in the WC with a .331 batting average, helped out the Minneapolis cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's not about individual awards," Arakawa told a Minneapolis Citizen reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
