Estadio Latinoamericano played host to some dramatic action.

In a tension-filled contest between the Havana Metropolitanos and the Toronto Juggernauts, pitcher Bobby Alkire was superb. The Havana left-hander, who finished 5th in the EC in saves with 19 in 2081, spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. By defeating Toronto, the second-place Metropolitanos improved to 31-29.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Havana. That's when Mike Santoli, who finished 3rd in the EC in runs with 113 in 2082, hit a solo home run off Ryan Ashe to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Bottom line," said Toronto skipper Marc Arnold, "we didn't play well enough to win."
