Wolves Slap 6-1 Loss on Friars
Vancouver Wolves starter Victor Franco hurled his team past the San Francisco Friars, 6-1. Franco, now 7-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Nick Campbell was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 7 save opportunities.

Minoru Kume had a big 2-run home run for the Wolves in the top of the third inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Kiyohiro Kaneshiro and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolves ahead, 3-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Kume.

The loss makes San Francisco 30-30.
