Good production from first baseman Rickey Pfau helped the Montreal Harfangs topple the Santiago Avispas, 5-3. Pfau was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Harfangs. Touta Kubo got the save, the 3rd for him this season. Montreal is now 31-29, Santiago 28-32.
The Harfangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Bobby Brito. For the game, Brito went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Montreal a 5-3 lead.
"We were the better team," crowed Brito.
