9-7 Win for Washington Over Los Angeles
Lucas Pamatz did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Stars from being beaten, 9-7, to the Washington Senators at The ESPN Zone. Pamatz went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Joel Breault notched his 1st save in 7 chances. The Senators now have a mark of 27-34.

Alex Tejeda, who finished 5th in the EC in runs with 104 in 2081, took Los Angeles hurler Luis Castillo deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Senators on top, 9-7. In all, Tejeda had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Tejeda, "but we got it done."
