Lobster Fall to Spectres, 3-2
|
Starting pitcher Chae-pong Kim was a major factor in the 3-2 Philadelphia Spectres triumph over the Maine Lobster. Kim, now 6-4, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Steve Jennifer picked up the save, his 2nd.
The Spectres got a big at-bat from left fielder Dave Palacios. For the game, Palacios was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Palacios told the Philadelphia Chronicle.
With the win over Maine, the Spectres improved to 29-33.
