The Brooklyn Browns topped the Buffalo Rangers, 6-3, in Eastern Conference action at Bison Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Brooklyn pitcher Michel Verde. The Browns raised their record to 30-31.

Brooklyn used a well-timed hit by Cole Chermak to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Browns ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Verde after the game.
