Extra-Inning Win by Titans Over Senators
|
New York picked up a win at The ESPN Zone, toppling the Washington Senators, 4-3. Pitcher Dylan Chatfield was one of the reasons the Titans triumphed. New York reliever Bryant Basile was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Bobby Jaramillo took the loss. Ruben Hernandez picked up the save, his 2nd.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jimmy Keener, the former first round draft pick ? Keener stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put New York up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I wouldn't want to be playing us right now," said New York manager Nate Beckman.
With the win, the Titans have a record of 33-29.
