Aces Walk It Off for 34th Win of Season
|
The Las Vegas Aces did just enough to sneak past the San Francisco Friars, 5-4, at Western Coliseum. Las Vegas pitcher Joshua Eyres, in particular, had a standout performance. Cruz Ponce picked up the win in relief for Las Vegas, while Chris Mayea took the loss. San Francisco now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Juan Carrizales was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aces right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Carrizales said.
