Baltimore Beats Cincinnati, 6-3
|
The Baltimore Kings defeated the Cincinnati Twins, 6-3. Doing his part was first baseman Harold Wicks, who went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Yasniel Ramirez recorded the save for Baltimore, his 2nd of the season. Baltimore, at 32-31, sits in third place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division.
Wicks had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Avery Slade, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Kings a 6-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Wicks.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Wicks told the Baltimore News, "and we played pretty well tonight."
