The Browns grabbed a win, 8-3, at Brown Town, overcoming a fine effort from Boston pitcher Nestor Duque. Duque went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The third-place Browns hiked their record to 31-32.

Kedington, England-born Jack Bird came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Browns trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Brooklyn on top.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Browns manager Jason Cormier.
