Dragons Stumble, Lose to Glaciers
|
The Denver Glaciers knocked off the Portland Dragons, 9-1, in Western Conference action at Portland Park. Denver pitcher and Deerfield Beach, Florida, native Shane Shackelford had an outstanding performance. Denver is now 30-38, Portland 36-32.
Early in the game, center fielder Tilmão Roboredo had a solo home run for Denver. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Glaciers on top, 1-0.
"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
