Thunderbirds Claim Late Win
The Phoenix Thunderbirds beat the Tucson Toros, 9-7, in 10 innings at Aetna Stadium. Phoenix shortstop Kevin Shouse had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Forbes Kopecky notched his 3rd save of the season. Phoenix is now 36-32.

Phoenix used a timely hit from Jose Olmos to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Exciting game to play in," said Olmos. "Getting the win makes it even better."
