Buffalo Sends Verkaik to Alaska Monday, November 27th , 2084 Reports have surfaced that Buffalo has agreed to send 26-year old SS Bobby Verkaik to the Alaska Kodiaks in exchange for a 4th round draft pick. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. Looking at his all-time stats, Verkaik has a career .206 average with 358 hits, 64 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs and 133 RBIs to date. He has scored 127 runs, walked 46 times and stolen 2 bases. |
