Montes Named May's #1 Newcomer Friday, June 1st , 2085 Jose Montes's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Phoenix left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In May he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .343 with 5 doubles, no triples and 4 home runs. Montes also scored 16 times and drove in 23 runs. This year, Montes has hit at a .305 clip with 42 RBIs, 8 home runs and 27 runs scored. |
