St. Louis Rookie Reels in Reward in May Friday, June 1st , 2085 May was a special time for St. Louis hurler, Grant Latour. It was such a good month that the Eastern Conference picked him the league's #1 newcomer and awarded him the Rookie of the Month trophy. Last month the 23-year-old starter roared through the EC with 3 wins and no losses and a 2.02 ERA as he struck out 14 in 35.2 innings and held opponents to a .205 batting average. On the season, Latour has compiled a 7-0 mark with a 3.17 ERA in 11 starts. In pitching 71 innings he has 25 strikeouts and 18 walks while limiting the opposition to a .243 batting average. |
