Phantoms Deal Miani to Athletics for Sosa Sunday, June 17th , 2085 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Chicago Phantoms and Kansas City Athletics finalized a trade today. Chicago will send 32-year old RHP Josh Hebrank, 30-year old 2B Amdre Ceclio, 32-year old minor league RHP Josh Breaux, 34-year old LHP John Colon, 25-year old minor league 2B Johnny Hilborn, 23-year old minor league RHP Chris Barona, 21-year old minor league CF Jose Calvo, 19-year old minor league LHP Nelson Cancino, 19-year old minor league 2B Gian-Andrea Miani, 30-year old C Tom Schwartzmiller, a 1st round draft pick, a 2nd round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick, a 4th round draft pick, and a 5th round draft pick to the Athletics, while the Phantoms will receive 25-year old LF Henry Sosa. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Phantoms general manager Sam J said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. This season in 68 games, Sosa is batting .283 with 8 home runs, 40 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |
