Nungaray Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, June 18th , 2085 Luis Nungaray of the St. Louis Gaedels has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 1 hit in today's 10-0 triumph over New York at Polo Grounds II. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Nungaray said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Luis Nungaray flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. So far this season, Nungaray is batting .302 with 8 home runs. |
