Kodiaks Send Berg to San Francisco Sunday, June 24th , 2085 It's being reported in the Alaska press that the Kodiaks have traded 19-year old LF Edwin Borge, 25-year old LHP Orosmani Ottamendi, 34-year old 1B Vern Berg, and a 3rd round draft pick to the San Francisco Friars for 26-year old RHP Bill Zamora. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. This season, Berg has posted a batting average of .182 with 2 hits in 11 at-bats, 1 home run and 2 RBIs. He has also scored 2 runs, walked 2 times and compiled a .308 OBP. This year, Zamora has compiled a 3-5 record with a 4.24 ERA. |
