EC Top Pitcher Award for June to Carrisalez Sunday, July 1st , 2085 The pick for the Eastern Conference's best pitcher in June is relief specialist, Mario Carrisalez. The Santiago pitcher compiled a great month to take home the award. "I just go out there and try and get the job done," Carrisalez told the press. "Things worked out real well last month and I appreciate the recognition." The 23-year-old reliever threw 41.1 innings in no relief appearances as he piled up no saves, 36 strikeouts, and notched a 6-0 record and 1.09 ERA for the month. So far this season, Carrisalez is 8-and-2 with no saves and a 4.14 ERA. He has given up 78 hits in 78.1 innings with 74 strikeouts. |
