Buffalo Ships Trice to Havana
Sunday, June 9th , 2080
It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Buffalo Rangers and Havana Metropolitanos finalized a trade today. Buffalo will send 34-year old RHP Mike Trice, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 8th round draft pick to the Metropolitanos, while the Rangers will receive a 1st round draft pick.
"We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Rangers general manager Alex Beckman said.
The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day.
To date this year, Trice shows a 4-1 record, 9 starts, 47.1 innings, 37 strikeouts and a 3.80 ERA.
