Big Bat Pays Off, Straub Player of the Week Monday, June 24th , 2086 Not every ball that came off David Straub's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Portland Dragons. For his exploits, Straub was named this week's Western Conference Player of the Week award. The Portland right fielder put up 11 hits in 21 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .524 with 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This season, Straub has 10 home runs and a .275 batting average. |
