Sosa Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Santiago Wednesday, June 26th , 2086 Henry Sosa saw his 24-game hitting streak wither and die during the Boston Greens win over Santiago at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. The 27-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Santiago Avispas, but his teammates produced enough offense to win the game, 3-1. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Sosa told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 24 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." So far this season, Sosa has hit .306 with 18 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 59 times. |
