Salmon Hits 3 Homers Against Philadelphia
Sunday, July 21st , 2086
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Matt Salmon can celebrate.
The Chicago Phantoms left fielder powered three into the stands at Sony Field at Philadelphia against the Philadelphia Spectres.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Salmon told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."
In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Phantoms toppled Philadelphia by a score of 10-7, knocking in 7 runs and scoring 3 times.
"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Chicago manager Sam J said. "He gets the ball up in the air."
Matt Salmon flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off John Guzik in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Perez in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Yeral Varela in the 9th.
At present, Salmon is batting .242 and has collected 29 home runs, 72 RBIs, .302 OBP and scored 61 runs.
