3-HR Dream Game for Brito Monday, July 22nd , 2086 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Tucson Toros. Yellowknife right fielder Bobby Brito tripled up on the home runs to propel the Ravens to a win, 13-7, at Aetna Stadium. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Tucson manager Rick Barnes said. "Brito hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Brito collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats, 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Bobby Brito hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Taxi Sabala in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, hit a three-run home run off Raul Garibaldi in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Greg Sams in the 11th. Brito is currently hitting at a .255 pace with 17 home runs, 54 RBIs and has scored 53 times. |
