Brito 5-for-6 Against Tucson Monday, July 22nd , 2086 The Yellowknife Ravens stopped the Tucson Toros by a score of 13-7 at Aetna Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Bobby Brito. The 29-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Brito said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Brito did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Toros. "Not much that I can say," offered Tucson manager Rick Barnes. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Bobby Brito hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Taxi Sabala in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 8th, hit a three-run home run off Raul Garibaldi in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Greg Sams in the 11th. This year, Brito is batting .255 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs. In 92 games he has scored 53 times. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
