Brigatti Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Thursday, August 1st , 2080 Bailey Brigatti's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Maine left fielder smacked 1 hit against the St. Louis Gaedels in today's game at Ballpark of Portland, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Lobster drop the game, 3-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Bailey Brigatti singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. For the season, Brigatti has hit .306 with 5 home runs and 47 RBIs. He has played in 101 games and scored 60 times. |
