Minneapolis, Los Angeles Trade Players Sunday, August 4th , 2080 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Minneapolis Vikings and the Los Angeles Stars have agreed to a deal that will have 34-year old LF Osbiel Borrero, 32-year old RHP Antonio Melgar, 27-year old RHP Mike Woolfrey, 38-year old RHP Eliecer Cervantes, 22-year old LF Alfred Montelongo, 20-year old RHP Vince Tozier, a 3rd round draft pick, and a 6th round draft pick heading to Los Angeles in exchange for 31-year old CF Casey Marko. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Los Angeles will retain a portion of Marko's remaining contract. So far this season, Marko is hitting .307 with 7 home runs. |
